Bottlerocket, I tell you.
The world is just too crazy a place. If you're worldly enough to have
made it to this site, I'm sure you've already heard enough news these
past couple of weeks to know what a crazy place this world is. Pockets
of tragedy surround us, yet most of us remain in our own little worlds,
including me. Such a strange combination of chaos and order we all live
in.
The semester is wrapping up here at U of M and I can't say I'm sorry for
that. I have two finals this week and in between I get to continue packing
up my room so I can move out of here in a week. I am no longer interning
in a Chicagoland suburb this summer; the new great thing is an internship
with IBM in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. I've even found a sublet in
Chapel Hill with a woman who seems really cool. I think it will be a good
time.
I'm excited to go somewhere new. I've never been to North Carolina before;
in fact, I've had very little experience with things southern in general.
If you have any tips for me, let me know. I already know that it gets
really hot down there come July, so I packed up all my tank tops. Now
I just need to pick up some "golf shirts" for work. (I think
that means polo shirts.)
